It was still too wet to ride today so I tried to do some trail work. It started raining again so I used the wood-heated Finnish sauna:

Dr. Rogers had a run in with his horse Saturday. He had better get back to mountain biking before he gets hurt.

It was too wet to ride today, so I cut up some logs that were across the trails and stacked up some firewood for the sauna. I did see the first snake of the year. The Northern Ringneck Snake above and someone fishing in the creek caught this nice catfish for dinner.

Reggie Reeves came today from the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation to tour the Sugar Camp Hollow and Chalybeate Spring Natural Area and present us with a certificate for registering with the program. Allen Trendly the new manager for our regions’ natural areas came with him. They especially enjoyed seeing the Beaked Trout Lilies [...]
