Bike Rides and Garage Party on Oct. 11 and 12
October 12th, 2008
I had two good rides this weekend: 5 miles on the Sugar Camp Hollow trail Saturday (red trail) with Patrick Reynolds who was visiting from California to do an anti-smoking programs in Henderson, and 7.5 miles (green trail) Sunday with Tim Townley. Richard Rogers and Ian Orford missed out due to a trip to Auburn for the football game. Here is the map:

Saturday night we dedicated the new garage and Petanque court at the Ross House and law office with a Charles Bevis barbeque:
Bob Boggan came on his new motorcycle:
A couple who were tourists from Sweden heard the music and came over from the Savannah Motel to see what was going on:
Christina and Dave were in town from Memphis and brought their new dog Hanz:
Lisa Bevis, Patrick Reynolds, Gail Boggan, Diane Allen, and Harriet Ross entertained us with Karaoke:

Hey, John, I had a great bike ride with you through the Ross forests with you on Saturday, and singing karaoke at the garage dedication party was a ton-a-fun!! I’m back in Los Angeles now, and hope to get you to bring some friends to Sun Valley Idaho during the first two weeks of August next summer for some great trails and good fun there! Hope to get back to Savannah to speak in the high school and middle school there — we need to keep em smokefree and drug free too. Talk to you soon!
