Northern Ringneck Snake Diadophis punctatus edwardsii

Catfish

It was too wet to ride today, so I cut up some logs that were across the trails and stacked up some firewood for the sauna.  I did see the first snake of the year.  The Northern Ringneck Snake above and someone fishing in the creek caught this nice catfish for dinner.

  • I am looking for photos and seeking permission to use images of the ringneck snake, Diadophis punctatus for publication in a European herpetology magazine. We are looking for all varieties of this genus. I have noticed that you have images posted on a website, and am wondering if you would be willing to let us publish them to accompany an upcoming article. The images would have to be 600 DPI or greater. We would have to have permission from the photographer, and of course will give full credit.

  • Wayne,
I have send you a full resolution copy and some other views of the same snake by separate email. Let me know if you don’t get them. We have had some herpetologists doing research on the Cottonmouths on our farm that you might be interested in also.
