mountain bike ride and bridge repair Jan. 18
January 18th, 2009
Richard, Randy, and John rode 10.6 miles up the dirt road to Sunset Point and then to the hill formerly known as Cookses, on to the Airport Road gate and returned on the dirt road to the trail on the Young-Welch boundary and down the Sugar Camp Hollow singletrack back to the Cabin. We stopped to put two bridges back in place and observe the icicles at the SCH waterfall. Moving time 2 hr., 31 min., stopped 45 min., total ascent 1040 feet. No problems except that John slipped off a root on the waterfall trail causing contusions in a place that cannot be displayed on the web.
