Sunday, April 6, SCHIMBA rides again (in the mud)

April 6th, 2008

Cabin fever finally overcame the reluctance to ride in the mud. 70+ degree weather with sunshine helped also. Still we had only a half club with John, Dennis, and Randy meeting at 3 pm and riding the Sulphur Spring, Holt Cemetery, and Worley Bottom loops and then crossing the creek and riding the Sugar Camp Hollow loop. 8.76 miles, moving time 2 hr. 23 min. Total ascent 712 feet.

  • Howdy Folks. It has been muddy here too. I went out at 5 am to get in a ride at the lake before the big nasty storm system gets here tonight. A friend of mine has asked me (talked me into) training for some solo 12 and 24 hour races. As soon as he gets a road bike (for training rides) we will start meeting early and late to start building our endurance up to this level. I will be in for a visit in May. I can’t wait to ride with you guys! EC Barber
