Mt. Bike ride to the Sugar Camp waterfalls after the floods

John, Richard, Dennis, and Harrison rode to the two waterfalls in Sugar Camp Hollow.  The flood rearranged several bridges, and took one over the waterfall, but the big bridge over Horse Creek was undamaged ( a tribute to the re-builder Pat Riley).  We found several good fossils including a nice trilobite.

The Tennessee Three Feet Law

March 10th, 2009

The Jeff Roth and Brian Brown Bicycle Protection Act of 2007, designates a safe passing zone of three feet for motor vehicles when overtaking a bicycle on the roadway and classifies violation as a Class C misdemeanor.

Today Richard, Randy, and John rode 8 miles up Sugar Camp Hollow to the culvert, the Table Rock Trail to English Creek, crossed at Slick Rock Ford and returned by the Bone Breaker to Sugar Camp Hollow.  Moving time 2 hours, 4 minutes.  35 minutes stopped.  Total Ascent 685 feet.  Temperature 50 degrees.  Incidents:  John [...]
